Mac’s Out of School Care
So, what’s our story?
At Mac’s, we believe we offer a refreshing outlook on Out of School care. We believe that within this environment, children should be encouraged to have fun, but also to grow as children and people in what we see as an extension of the school day.
A key part of this learning environment is actively encouraging respect and manners amongst our children, whether this is with each other, or with the staff that are looking after them. So what does this mean – well it means respecting others, understanding peoples feeling and emotions, right down to moving out of the way for our elderly neighbours when we are walking to school.
Why should you believe us?
As parents ourselves, we understand that out of school care feels slightly different to school, but our focus is on providing a safe and professional environment for your child.
We are fully insured, staff are DBS checked and qualified. We are also OFSTED rated GOOD.
As such, we will be proactively introducing activities so that Mac’s Club very much feels like an extension of the school day – whether it is sport, homework, reading or just plain having fun.
We really are part of the local community, and will act as such.
Originally operating out of the Mickleover Community Centre (Uttoxeter Road), which is already a key part of the community, we see ourselves as an extension of that community, serving all schools within the local area. Having moved from the Community Centre in January 2021 we now operate from Highfields Spencer Academy in Littleover. We are excited that from September 2021 to be providing our services not only at Highfields Spencer Academy but on site at Chellaston Fields Spencer Academy & Castleward Spencer Academy.
So what about the important stuff for the kids – the food?
