“Take a look at our brand-new Primary Castleward Spencer Academy”
Castleward Spencer Academy, is a brand-new primary based in the heart of derby city centre, and is the latest addition to the spencer family. It opened its doors for the first time in September 2021, with a teacher-led nursery and reception class.
Principal Lindsay Trail “It is an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of Castleward Spencer Academy, which is a one form entry primary school, built within the new housing development of Castleward, in the centre of Derby.
The school aims to give children the best possible start to their education through an innovative curriculum and by providing opportunities to explore and investigate. We want our children to be excited by the curriculum and challenged to achieve their full potential. By working closely with our parents and the community, our aim is for all pupils to GROW and achieve their full potential.
Places are currently available for children in the teacher-led nursery from their third birthday and also in the Reception class, as well as for the September 2022 Reception intake. Individual tours of the school are available upon request.
